Vanishing comments

OK, I fiddled around with the template again (visited Blogger Templates and noticed they had posted new coding for this template). The code for commenting is much nicer than the typical Blogger comment style and now I will get email notifications again (bye-bye HaloScan). Tomorrow I may do further tweaking (just words and stuff). Guess I can't leave well enough alone!

Edited to add: Hey, I wonder if the new template might have fixed that Safari problem... Anyone out there using a Mac who can tell me?

So this is the new blogger comment thingy? Wow I think I may switch too. Where did you find it?

The code is in the new template format at Blogger Templates. I think this template is on the second page. It's a lot faster than going to Blogger's page to post. Plus it has the preview feature!

Thanks for coming by my site and for leaving a comment. I hope you'll come by again. I've had fun browsing your blog. Are you moving to McClellan? I hope you like this area!

oh, and ...no mac here! Best of luck!

Definitely an improvement from having to sign in to blogger all the time :)

(perfectionist) BTW...it takes one to know one :)

Would have been nice if Blogger had had this all along... it was like they didn't realize non-Blogger people might want to comment and have their name show up...

Yeah, but the email comes to me from "anonymous." I like the way comments are handled in MT or Wordpress, where the email is hidden on the website, but the blogowner still knows it and can send a reply.

I'm not sure this is a Blogger thing or just something the person who made the template came up with.

Ooooooh, nifty Blogger comments set up! I like it!

Naturally, as Murphy's Law would have it, for some reason the Safari browser isn't working this morning. (Why???) So, I'm visiting you this time using IE. Once I figure out the deal with the Safari browser, I'll come back and let you know how it all looks.

UPDATE: The site looks great in Safari! In fact, better than when I visited earlier today using IE. With IE, I didn't get the pic of the breezy couple cavorting across the beach with tulle floating behind them. Who DOES that, anyway?!?
