What a day
This was the earliest Christmas morning I can ever remember my kids having. They were up around 7:15. (Still didn't beat me up, though.) They were all truly appreciative of their gifts. The boys love their GI Joes, Halle likes her new doll and stroller, and Emily thinks her new electric blanket rocks (but her favorite gift was Sims 2). Hubby liked the things I got him (several items of clothing and some desk accessories for his new desk (the one he'll have in CA). He totally surprised me with a pair of diamond earrings and a comfy new office chair. He also gave me a Josh Groban CD he burned from ITunes after hearing me talk about how much I loved Josh's version of O Holy Night. If you haven't heard it, look for it and listen. I swear, the first time I heard it, I was alone in the car and thought I was going to have to pull over. It had me in tears and goosebumps.
So now the wrappings and new things are mostly picked up and put away. Hubs is bathing the 2 youngest kids. We're planning a game night for tomorrow evening and inviting a few other families from church. Now we'll have a chance to try out some of our new games Santa brought us (Trivial Pursuit Disney Edition, Disney Scene It, Scene It, Trivial Pursuit 90s edition and Pop Culture Edition). Have I mentioned we like to play games? The kids will be able to play Playstation or GameCube, or maybe some of the abovementioned games, if they are so inclined.
All that is left to do is get ready for Emily and Noah's birthday. They share the same birthday 4 years apart. It is this coming Thursday, and we haven't really gotten them anything yet. Guess I'll try to hit some of the after Christmas sales!!

Sounds like you had a nice Christmas, and what a surprise from your hubby!
Merry Christmas!
Oh, and you think your day started early...we started at 6 am! I wasn't happy! LOL
Hello, Michele sent me. I'm usually up at 4:30, so when my kids said they wanted to get up at 6:30 I said "sure"... wouldn't you know, I ended up sleeping in and the dogs woke me up at 6:15!!
hi... for the first time in over twenty years we got to sleep in for christmas morning... we had all stayed up late to make the turkey on christmas eve (cooked all night) and I let everyone open their stockings at 2 am... so we agreed to sleep in and wait for others to arrive at noon to open gifts then... it was truly amazing... (my daughter loves sims 2 as well) our two boys mostly wanted and received video games... have a Happy New year!
Just surfin' by tonight....
We have a Thursday birthday too. :)
Actually *almost* had a situation as yours with 2 on that day, but the baby sister decided she wanted her OWN birthday so waited 2 days and then decided to be born. We have one Thursday and one Sunday.
I came across your site because I am very interested in homeschooling. I have three children and a husband who spent 10 years in the Army and is now in the AF Reserves. I think your blog is wonderful!
Take Care, Donna
We got a really fun game called "Cranium" for Christmas, but we haven't played it yet because it requires a minimum of four adults to play. Our very young kids aren't quite up to playing it as yet, so we're hoping to get two more adults interested in playing with us.
Did I mention we got this for Christmas? Last year?....
