I think we're done
All we have left to do is pick up a few stocking stuffers for the kids. I need to get the yearly box of cherry cordials for hubby. And then there is ..... the WRAPPING. This is one of those times I wish I had Samantha Stephens' twinkletwinkletwink powers to instantaneously transform the piles of hidden presents into beautifully wrapped gifts under the tree. Oh yeah... not only do we have to wrap the stuff, we have to lug it all downstairs once the kids are asleep on Christmas Eve. Have I mentioned my kids tend to be night owls???
Which reminds me... in the 13 years I have been a parent, my kids have never been the ones to wake me up on Christmas morning. I am always the first person up and have to sit around and wait for the kids. I usually end up waking them up because I am tired of waiting. If I waited for them, it would be nearly 10 a.m. before we started opening presents. Nope, Christmas is nothing like it is in the movies here at my house.

I think in 22 years, we've only been woken up by the Boy 2 or 3 times on Christmas morning. And one of those times he was only 8 month old, so it doesn't really count. The older he gets, the later he'll sleep. He's excited about Christmas, even now, but he's more excited about sleeping in, I guess...
