I recommend Lost in Translation, Prozac Nation and Sugar Ray.

Do you believe in the afterlife? How do you explain the birds & the bees to your kids? If you could change your hair color, what color would you choose?

This is cool. Will try this out sometime. Nice!

(I linked you up!)

1. If by afterlife you mean heaven and hell, yes.

2. I only have one who has been interested in knowing so far... she learned by reading Where Did I Come From? when she was about 6. (Yes, she was an early reader.)

3. Well, I am doing that today!! I don't know how to describe the color, but it is a light shade of red/auburn.

Good Will Hunting- I know it's a few years old, but it is worth another viewing.

Lincoln's Virtues, by William Lee Miller- a superb read.

Anything Oscar Peterson.

Now for the questions:

Define freedom. If you could relive one moment, or change a single decision you've made, what would that be? What secret about yourself would you tell your kids, when they are old enough to understand?

Movie: Touching the Void

Book: Year of Wonders (it's about the plague)

Artist: Damien Rice

3 Questions:

Define the best and worst qualities of the people in your family.

If you could go on vacation and money were no object where would you go and what would you do?

What are five things you want to do before you die?

SCA... you ask tough questions!

1. I suppose I would define freedom as the ability to choose a course of action.

2. If I could change one moment or alter a decision I had made... I would have stayed home on the morning of my grandmother's funeral (Mar 12, 1972), so that I would not have been in my aunt and uncle's car when it was hit head-on by another car.

3. I would tell them about the little boys who lived across the street from me as a child, who knew way too much about sex at a very young age.

BTW, I checked out Oscar Peterson... great stuff!! (And can you believe, I never saw Good Will Hunting? I'll have to add that to my Blockbuster Online queue!)

Kym,

1. Husband's best qualities: work ethic, tenderheartedness. Worst: perfectionism, impatience.
Emily's best: quick-thinking, sense of humor. worst: selfishness, argumentative.
Noah's best: fun-loving, willingness to try new things. worst: stubborn.
Halle's best: encouraging personality, likes to laugh. worst: whiny, stubborn.
Joel's best: energetic, fun-loving. worst: stubborn, picks fights with his sisters.

2. Probably a LONG cruise to just about anywhere. Maybe an around-the-world one.

3. Lose 170 pounds (30 down), build our dream house, get all pictures scrapbooked and journaled, have LASIK, live near my kids and grandkids.

3. Do you and your husband have any neat, romantic plans for Valentine's Day? : )

Susie,

1. I don't get too many childless hours... but on the rare occasion I have the house all to myself, I will either read, do stuff on the computer, watch a movie, or clean house.

2. I grew up in Sikeston, Missouri,a small town a couple of hours south of St. Louis.

3. My husband has been out of town for 2 weeks and we haven't even discussed Valentine's Day. Doubtful that we will do anything on that day, as he is on call that day.
