Something new ahead
Today we took Emily up to Vacaville to tour a Christian school there. If all goes well, she'll start her freshman year there this fall. She seemed to like the place and has been talking about being involved in choir and "maybe" drama there. We liked the size of the place and have heard lots of good things about it. It will be a change for us, after having homeschooled for so long. But I think in the long run, it will be good for everyone in the family.
So the hunt for a house closer to the base continues.

Sounds like a good idea. It may help make the transition to college easier if she's in school. I hope it works out!
If nothing else, it gives her some structured time away from the younger ones. :)
It's really good that she's excited about it. Hope the house hunt goes well. :-)
We will keep our eyes and ears open for rentals in the area.
BTW, the public schools here are horrible...if the Boy had been younger, we would have been looking at Christian schools when we got back from North Dakota. He arrived his junior year and discovered they were just getting to things he'd done in 8th grade...hurray for him having enough credits already, and for a spiffy junior college in Suisun...
The community college does allow younger homeschooled kids, too, BTW...
This is where I would like for her to go. ;p http://www.macademy.org/
Wow--lots of change for your family!
How exciting!
Thanks for the book suggestion--MD is dense--but sooo worth it!
Hey -- my MIL teaches at MA! Sounds like a plan! My Abbie goes to Little MA.
But not a likely plan, I know!
